The Juvenile Education History Query-Response Service (JEHQRS) is designed to support sharing of educational background between Juvenile Justice Decision Makers who are often responsible for performing youth risk assessments and State Educational Agencies (SEA).
The Global Juvenile Assessment Task Team determined that educational behavior is a key identifier of juvenile criminogenic risk. Specifically, behavioral information includes: The history of issues related to truancy/attendance, academic performance, level of interest or educational motivation, classroom behavior, school grounds behavior, history of disciplinary issues, and teacher and peer relationships. This exchange specification is designed to facilitate the sharing of this information.
