Office Hours: End of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

This event will include speakers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) who will discuss the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), which ended on May 11, 2023.

Liesl Hagan, Senior Scientist for Correctional Health, CDC, and Sara Sullivan, Senior Policy Advisor, BJA, will discuss new CDC guidance on COVID-19 and answer questions about the impact on confinement facilities’ COVID-19 programs as a result of the end of the PHE. Questions regarding federal COVID-19 programs and resources not provided by the CDC or BJA will be collected and answers provided in a fact sheet following the event.

This event is being hosted by BJA’s COVID-19 Detection and Mitigation in Confinement Facilities Training and Technical Assistance Center.
