Public Safety Mental Health Program

The Miramar Police Department will promote the removal of barriers and improve the delivery of and access to mental health and wellness services through the funding of this program.  This award will also allow for increased access to information and referral to local organizations who will assist individuals and families r with a variety of life stressors through the implementation of enhanced services to the community by employing a highly trained and versatile social worker.  The Miramar community, of which 88% identify as racial or ethnic minorities, will benefit from these enhanced and free services in a multitude of ways that will better the resiliency of the community at large.
