Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2013, $499,047)
Efficient and effective sharing of information between and among justice agencies and their partner organizations is at the heart of today's efforts across the nation to protect public safety and reduce offender recidivism. The project will create a web portal to support information exchange among the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Department of Corrections, and the Board of Pardons and Paroles. The portal will be designed to share appropriate offender information regarding treatment information and risk/needs assessments across cognizant agencies in order to drive more effective supervision and services, resulting in more effective referrals for treatment, and therefore improved correctional outcomes.
