The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Training and Technical Assistance Center (PDMP TTAC) reports 2020 data and 2021 features of the Rhode Island Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).


The acronym for the Rhode Island PDMP is RI PDMP. It is administered by the Department of Health. In 2020, the state population was 1,098,163, and there were 7,050 DEA-registered prescribers and 188 DEA-registered dispensers. Eleven types of available PDMP report are listed. Drug-related data monitored or accessible for the PDMP cover those listed on Schedules II-V, naloxone/narcan dispensing, and fatal overdoses. Technological capabilities of the PDMP are listed, along with requestors and reports authorized for production. No information is provided on the 2021 PDMP budget or funding sources.
